Many of us Vegas watchers will have a wait and see mindset. Word on the street is that the Stevens Group has secured funding to move forward. Circa should be different than those projects. It’s perfectly reasonable to doubt the construction timeline with the length of time it’s taken Echelon/Resorts World Las Vegas and Fontainebleau/The Drew to show any movement. The Stevens brothers are expecting construction to take less than two years to build the first casino in downtown Las Vegas since 1980. The timeline for Circa moving forward is tight. When Circa opens it will end a long journey from the Las Vegas Club being sold in 2015. The new casino being built on the land once occupied by Las Vegas Club, Mermaids, and the unforgettable Glitter Gulch is scheduled to open in December 2020.
